These are some beautiful photos of the cities around Italy but it is impossible to list them all, and there are many others to visit and discover.


Padova

Prato della Valle has an area of 88620 m²: it is characterized by a central elliptical island, called Memmia island (about 20 000 m²), surrounded by a small channel (fed by the Alicorno canal) on whose banks there is a double ring of statues; the outer circumference is 1450 m.


Treviso

Piazza dei Signori is a city square in Treviso, north-eastern Italy.It takes its name (meaning “Lords Square” in Italian) from the palaces of lords the former seignory of Treviso which face it.

They include:Palazzo del Podestà with the Civic tower (13th century), which was the lordship’s seat Palazzo dei Trecento

Palazzo Pretorio (with a 17th century façade)

Original seat of the Municipal Library and the Municipal Gallery (1847)


Rome

Piazza di Spagna, at the bottom of the Spanish Steps, is one of the most famous squares in Rome (Italy). It owes its name to the Palazzo di Spagna, seat of the Embassy of Spain to the Holy See. Nearby is the famed Column of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.


Milano

Parco Sempione is a large city park in MilanItaly. Established in 1888, it has an overall area of 38.6 hectares (95 acres), and it is located in the historic centre of the city, inside the Zone 1 administrative division.


Siena

Piazza del Campo is the principal public space of the historic center of SienaTuscanyItaly and is regarded as one of Europe’s greatest medieval squares. It is renowned worldwide for its beauty and architectural integrity. The Palazzo Pubblico and its Torre del Mangia, as well as various palazzi signorili surround the shell-shaped piazza. At the northwest edge is the Fonte Gaia.

The twice-a-year horse-race, Palio di Siena, is held around the edges of the piazza. The piazza is also the finish of the annual road cycling race Strade Bianche.


Verona

Arena di Verona is a Romanamphitheatre in Piazza Bra in VeronaItaly built in the first century. It is still in use today and is internationally famous for the large-scale opera performances given there. It is one of the best preserved ancient structures of its kind. In ancient times, the arena’s capacity was nearly 30,000 people. The stage for concerts and opera performances decreases the available places to a maximum of 15,000. It will be used as the closing ceremony for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.


Sorrento

Piazza Tasso is a central place and square in Sorrento in the south of Italy. The square is named after the poet Torquato Tasso.

In the main square, well known as Largo of the Caste, is the Baroque Church del Carmine, within its interior a painting by Onofrio Avellino. On the square stands a statue of S. Antonino Abbate. From the square you come onto the shopping street Via San Cesareo.

Also near Piazza Tasso is the Palazzo Correale now also a museum, Museum Correale.
